A Young Wife’s Tale

Being back in Texas is wonderful. We are surrounded by beauty, delicious food, family and friends. I thank God for bringing us back home.

But heaven will be better than Texas. This world is not our home. There will be no Psoriatic Arthritis in heaven. David isn’t feeling as well here. I’m terrified that he’s going to start flaring again.

I think God must be using our move to New Jersey and our health problems to change the desires of our hearts.

We are home in Texas! It was slow going, driving a moving pulling a trailer with our car on top. David drove the entire trip. I’m thankful and surprised his psoriatic arthritis didn’t flare. God blessed us by sending us back to Texas. God performed a minor miracle by making David a remote employee for his company in New Jersey on a trial basis. David and I are moving back to Texas.

We were in the process of moving into a one bedroom apartment here in our apartment complex. I had a post all written up about us staying in New Jersey for another year. Here’s a quote:

The decision to stay another year was completely David’s. I have had no peace about going home or staying here. I’ve prayed and prayed, but ultimately I had to tell David to make the choice because I just don’t feel the Holy Spirit leading me one way or another. And it’s his career. David has always made excellent career choices.

David and I are home for Christmas! It’s so good to be back in Texas. This summer when we were here on vacation, we rescued a stray, and we’ve done it again this time. We’re still waiting for animal control to be open so we can take her to the shelter. My parents have been [...]
