Brother #3 was Lone Wolf, one of the Indians in Peter Pan at his high school.

He had a few lines, and a cool fight scene where he fought with a bow staff against a pirate with a chain.

Peter Pan is quite a production for a high school. They flew in an instructor from Scotland with his rig to teach the cast how to fly. It was a lot of work.

After the show, we went to my parents house for cupcakes.

Isn’t my mother clever? She even had a gluten free “popcorn cupcake for David. Those are mini marshmallows cut into thirds.

Of course, Brother #3 got all his talent from me. I played “Gladys” in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.

And just look at us three years ago in Washington, D.C.

Major. Drama.

The weather in my neck of the woods:
70 degrees and sunny. Perfect. And really pleasant for David’s arthritic joints!

Knitting (I’m still trying to teach myself.)

Lesson learned the past few days:
My husband is more like my father than I realized. This week I learned that David is every bit the workaholic my father is. He feels the need to work even if he doesn’t have to for the money.

On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses on the church door at Wittenburg, sparking the Protestant Reformation. Our church had a Reformation Celebration today.

David supervised a chess tournament and created a Power Point presentation about the Reformation.

I served refreshments with my friend, Michelle. This was the best popcorn ever!

There were lots of cute games for the kids, like “A Mighty Fortress” where kids race to build the tallest fortress with blocks. Last I heard, the record was over eight feet tall! The idea came from the Reformation hymn, A Mighty Fortress. There was also a hay ride, “Pin the Theses on the Door” and the “Diet of Worms Cake Walk”.

It was lots of fun, but phew, David and I are tired! Does your church have a fall carnival or Trunk or Treat?
