David’s doing okay. Not great, but he’s able to go to work. He even took Henry for a short walk Saturday morning. I don’t know how it is for other well spouses, but it takes me weeks to recover from one of David’s flares. I’m so tired. David hasn’t been sleeping well from the pain, [...]

Yesterday David worked from home. I worked at my job all day. Normally, I’m just part-time, but the receptionist was out, and I had promised to cover for her. It was a lot of added stress, making sure David had his phone, laptop, chargers, etc. early in the morning and then going to work. But, working was kind of a nice break for me. Isn’t that sad? My parents brought us dinner last night. Mom made broccoli (Yay! I love broccoli!) and even pudding.

Last night David started having intense pain in his lower back. It was a really rough night for both of us. We got up this morning, and I got him into the bathtub to soak. I called Dr. Fan’s office and they said they had an appointment available in one hour.

Now, I was still in my pajamas, we hadn’t had breakfast, and it takes 30 minutes to get to the doctor. Oh, yeah, and I was going to have to get David out of the tub and dress him.
