Anti-Inflammation Diet for Arthritis

David saw an acupuncturist here in Dallas last week. He didn’t get the relief he got from the acupuncture treatments he had in Dallas, but we did have a good consultation with the acupuncturist about David’s diet.

He wants David to stop drinking all soda. He said soda contains phosphoric acid that can leach minerals from David’s bones. Since David has Psoriatic Arthritis, it’s obviously important that he take care of his bones.

The Verdict on Gluten

Going gluten free hasn’t been nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Even eating out wasn’t too hard. My mother found some gluten free Betty Crocker mixes at her local Kroger. The brownies were good. Very rich. They tasted like dark chocolate brownies. So David hasn’t even missed out on baked goods.

I remember calling David’s parents in the car afterwards while we drove home. They were much more upset than I was. I thought it was no big deal. We had a diagnosis. We had a plan. They were going to make David better. Everything was going to be fine.
