I want our apartment to look nice, but I don’t want to spend very much money on it. Whether we get to go back to our house in Texas, or whether we stay here in New Jersey, we won’t be living in this apartment for very long.

Here are some ways I’ve found to make our home cuter on the cheap.

Well we survived our first week in New Jersey. If I were to give you directions to our apartment here, the final step would be to turn right between the liquor store and the dry cleaners. We’ve made lots of Chris Farley jokes about living in a van down by the liquor store this week.

I’ve started remembering thing we said we needed before we put the house on the market. I need an ergonomically designed chair for my desk. I want the arms to adjust not only vertically, but horizontally. Stanard office chairs have arm rests that make me look like I’m doing the chicken dance. The seat will of course need to be adjustable, too. Oh, yeah. I’d also like it in a cream color, preferably a feminine style. Anyone know where I can get one of those?

We’ve decided to stay in our house! I’m so happy we’ve made a decision. Won’t it be lovely to have photos back on our walls? We could decide to sell later, if David doesn’t go into remission or if the market picks up, but for now, we’re staying right where we are. Does anyone need [...]
