Fragmented Friday

*Further evidence I’m a pessimist: I’m scared to death we’ll be stuck in Jersey forever. I told David, and then my mother and brother that if I die in this miserable state, they’d better take my remains back to Texas. I told them I’d come back to haunt them if they left me in New Jersey.

*I tried to make our October COBRA payment online, but the website would only let me pay for October & November. I called customer service and received no help. They wouldn’t let me pay by phone. I was told to send them a check if I wanted to pay for one month at a time. That means another 7-10 days of waiting for them to show us as active, which means another 7-10 days of no scripts or doctors’ appointments.

Getting to Know the Local Police

We think our house is being cased. Bad guys must think our house is vacant since it has a For Sale sign in the front yard. They seem to overlook the open blinds, dog in the yard, car in the driveway and lights on inside the house. Friday night, a vehicle pulled up in front of our house at about eleven o’clock. They sat there with their lights on for thirty minutes. Truly, they just sat there. They never got out of their car, or turned on their interior lights to look at a map.

Henry the Guard Dog
