A Young Wife’s Tale

Today I got to try Wanchai Ferry’s new frozen Beef and Broccoli meal for two. It contains wheat, so David wasn’t able to try it, but it was a nice lunch for me. I’ll have to check and see if some of the other meals such as Szechuan Style Chicken and Orange Chicken contain wheat. All of the entrees have no added MSG, so that’s a big plus!

I used the all purpose cleaner on the kitchen sink and counters and even our electric toothbrush (unplugged of course!). I was very happy with the results. I typically use rags for cleaning, but I tested the paper towels. I’d never used unbleached paper towels at home before. They worked just as well as bleached. I tested the wipes on doorknobs and light switch plates. I was surprised at how durable they felt. Almost like a cloth rag.

David and I tried the Strawberry Banana flavor. I really liked it. The flavor and consistency was nice. David said the ones I’ve been making taste better. However, I followed the instructions on the package exactly, adding one cup of milk to the frozen fruit. Perhaps if I’d made them with yogurt the way I normally make our smoothies, David would have liked it more.

I really do like the Panko better than regular bread crumbs. Panko is bigger and crunchier than bread crumbs. They would make a terrific unfried chicken. With the broth, I made Progresso’s White Turkey Chili. It was really good.
