A Young Wife’s Tale

I said if a woman breaks it off with a man, she should give the ring back. If he breaks up with her, then she can keep it. David said, “Yeah, but you should also give back any expensive gifts when you break up.”

“Like the digital camera I bought you the Christmas we were engaged?”

“Oh, no. That cost less than $500.”

The last night we were there, David took me to a fabulous German restaurant. I ate until I thought I was going to be sick. There was a cheese course, an appetizer, a salad and a main course. It was all so good. And then our waitress told us they had white chocolate raspberry creme brulee for dessert. Now, I love dessert, but creme brulee is my favorite of all desserts, so even though I was stuffed I ate every bite of that creme brulee. It was heavenly.
