A Young Wife’s Tale

I got a job! I’m really excited. I wasn’t actively seeking employment. In fact, I had told David that if I went back to work, someone would just have to call me and say, “Hey, I know this person that needs part time administrative help.” Well, guess what? That’s exactly what happened.

We rescued him from our the pound when he was three months old. I bought him for David as an anniversary present. So David thinks Henry is his puppy. But I know he’s mine.

I went to a lovely ladies retreat Friday night and Saturday with some ladies from our church. It was a wonderful time of food and fellowship. It was really nice to spend time with other people and not have to think, “Oh, we should probably leave soon. David’s back is probably hurting.” David enjoyed hours of un-interrupted video games. Friday night after I left he took Henry for a walk (Yippee!) and then played video games until four in the morning. He didn’t even eat dinner. Here’s a direct quote from David: “I haven’t done that since…how long have I known you?”
