The last night we were there, David took me to a fabulous German restaurant. I ate until I thought I was going to be sick. There was a cheese course, an appetizer, a salad and a main course. It was all so good. And then our waitress told us they had white chocolate raspberry creme brulee for dessert. Now, I love dessert, but creme brulee is my favorite of all desserts, so even though I was stuffed I ate every bite of that creme brulee. It was heavenly. [...]

Today’s post is by David. He would like to set the record straight on a few things. First of all, during the hand incident, I only said two cuss words. That’s pretty good for someone whose skin is melting off their hand like water! Second, I had already asked twice for the blanket in [...] David and I met when we were fifteen. We lived on the same street for years, but never noticed each other. David and I met at church. The first time I remember meeting David was when Kyle’s dad picked a bunch of us up to take us to a youth event. We saw each other at several other youth events, and then, in December, our youth group volunteered at the Salvation Army. That’s when David and I really hit it off. [...] Chronic illness and chronic pain really screw up your dating life. You can’t plan things in advance because you don’t know how you’ll feel next month. All your money is going to doctors and you hurt so much you can’t do most active things. [...] David’s parents bought him a new gadget called Back 2 Life. It a machine that stretches your lower back. The machine just moves your legs up and down slowly and gently. This stretches your lower back. [...] |
