I drove around for quite awhile with my driver's side door stuck. It wouldn't open at all. No matter what we tried. There are two advantages to your driver door being stuck shut. First, no one is going to steal your car. Or, if someone tried to steal the car, perhaps they'd fix it trying to get the door open and that would take so long you (or security) would catch them in the act! Second, you're not going to be car jacked. Well, maybe they could get to you from the passenger side, but that's what I told myself. Yesterday I took my Explorer to an auto repair shop. I was hoping that this would be a quick fix, but it wasn't. They have to take the panel off of the door. Thank you Lord for my in-laws!

I drove around for quite awhile with my driver’s side door stuck. It wouldn’t open at all. No matter what we tried. There are two advantages to your driver door being stuck shut. First, no one is going to steal your car. Or, if someone tried to steal the car, perhaps they’d fix it trying to get the door open and that would take so long you (or security) would catch them in the act! Second, you’re not going to be car jacked. Well, maybe they could get to you from the passenger side, but that’s what I told myself. Yesterday I took my Explorer to an auto repair shop. I was hoping that this would be a quick fix, but it wasn’t. They have to take the panel off of the door. Thank you Lord for my in-laws! They’re letting us borrow one of their cars until it’s fixed.

Brother #1 made a comment that’s helping me understand a little bit better why David is so freaked out about giving himself shots. He said, “You know when you’re sick or you have a broken arm or something? Everything is so much more intense. If you take a drink and it’s too hot, it feels so much worse because you’re already hurting.” I thought that was a good point.

Next Thursday David is going to see my parents so that they can give him the shot. At the advice of a lovely friend, I’m not going with him. That way we’re not fighting, and I won’t be a distraction to my parents or David. And I won’t get stressed out if David is panicky.

We still have no idea what we’re going to do about the house. Should we try to sell it again? Lease it? Stay since David is now taking the Humira? I really want to hang our pictures back up, but I’m afraid to do too much “nesting” for fear that I’ll get attached to the house again, and we’ll end up moving.

The Humira hasn’t started working, yet, but David did see an Opthamologist so he’s cleared to continue taking Plaquenil. Plaquenil works on David’s fluid joints, such as the hands, feet, and elbows. One of the side effects is damage to the eyes, but Praise the Lord! David’s eyes are still perfect.

Anything I’m forgetting? Questions?

Love,
A Young Wife
