More on Movies

Check out this great website! You can rate doctors and see what other people have said about them.

I love movies. Really, I’m very easy to please. I like pretty much everything except horror. But there are a few movies I did not like.

Derailed
Untraceable
The Watchmen (Good concept, but I really don’t need to see a naked blue man for three hours.)
Apocalypto
Brideshead Revisted
A Star is Born
From Here to Eternity
Breakfast at Tiffany’s (I know, I know. Every woman loved this movie. I didn’t. I’m just weird.)
The Bank Job
Pride and Glory (The scene with the hot iron and the baby freaked me out! I don’t know why. I can watch all kinds of bloody violence and be bothered at all.)
Robin Hood (The one with Uma Thurman.)
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Chronicles of Riddick
Hellboy 2
Meet the Fockers (First movie I walked out of and asked for my money back.)
Borat (The second movie I walked out of and asked for my money back.)

And you? What movies did you think were awful?

I walked out of What About Bob.

    I hated The Happening.

Those are the only two I can think of at the moment. I agree with most of your list, other than Breakfast at Tiffany’s, From Here to Eternity, and A Star Is Born, well on that it depends on which version.

I usually enjoy all types of movies…but anytime I’m asked about my “worst” movie, I always remember one. I like the actor (Clooney), but was horribly disappointed in the movie…From Dusk To Dawn!

Hi, Ashley. Since you visited my blog, I wanted to check out yours too. I’ve been all over it, but decided to post something here.

I can relate to your disliked movie choices above.

Funny, I’ve never even seen Breakfast at Tiffany’s and have never had a desire to. On a similar note, a strange woman note, I can’t stand Gone With The Wind. What’s so great about that spoiled brat?

The Watchmen (known as The Blue Limpy in our house) had great potential, but instead they did a great job ruining it.

I was terribly disappointed with how they ended Pirates of the Caribbean III.

District 9 is, to date, the worst movie I’ve seen.

My wife also suffers from chronic illness. One night she woke me in such severe pain and begged me to stay up with her. I am notoriously bad at staying awake in the middle of the night so we turned on the TV to help. The movie playing was Escape to Athena (1979). Absolutely horrible. So bad we began laughing at its absurdity and panned the rest of the movie ala Mystery Science Theater 3000. 10 years later we still laugh about it.
