Shoes and Closets
18 Aug
As you’ve probably noticed, one of the banners for this site has shoes on it. David made it for me because I LOVE shoes.
See those red heeled sandals? I wore those for high school graduation. They are probably the most comfortable heels I’ve ever owned, and I bought them for $7 on clearance at Dillard’s. They’re falling apart. I actually colored over the worn parts with a red Sharpie at work one day. I just don’t want to throw them away!
Yes, that’s right. I have three pairs of boots that aren’t even on the shoe racks.
David and I have separate walk in closets. I think that every married couple should have separate closets. America would see a drastic reduction in divorce rates.

When I first married David he had four pairs of shoes. Black and brown dress shoes, nicer tennis shoes and a grubby pair of tennis shoes for when we were painting or working outside. I’m so proud that he owns two different pairs of black dress shoes and some flip flops now!

I know it looks like I have a lot of clothes, but keep in mind that I’ve been the same size since before middle school. Also, I rarely buy clothes for myself. My family, especially my parents, buy the vast majority of my clothes.

I do get rid of clothes that I no longer wear. My mother-in-law and sister-in-law frequently have garage sales, and I always send them lots of clothes to sell.

We used to keep jeans, socks, shorts, etc. in drawers, but they’re all in the closet now. Looking at these pictures, I’m thinking David and I are going to have to downsize our wardrobes if we go back to sharing a closet in our next house.
