Happy Homemaker Monday

hhm
The weather in my neck of the woods:
Foggy and cold.

One of my simple pleasures:
Diet Coke

On my bedside table:
Family Circle – I got a free subscription from sweetfreestuff.com!

On my TV:
I finished Kings Season 1. I think it’s so cool that there’s a TV showed based on the story of King David from the Bible. Unfortunately, the further into the season we got, the further away from the original story they went.

On the menu for tonight:
Homemade General Tso’s Chicken with rice and broccoli

On my To Do List:
Vacuum
Get oil changed in Explorer
Mop kitchen
Finish organizing the office

New Recipe I tried last week:

Michelle’s enchiladas (Okay, I’ve made these a few times.) But they’re sooo good!
The Pioneer Woman’s chicken salad. Lucky for me, David doesn’t like it!

In the craft basket:
Tiles to turn into coasters for Christmas presents.

Looking forward to:
An ornament exchange party on Thursday.

Homemaking Tip for this week:
Rinse your produce with a little baking soda to help get rid of any dirt.

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Normally I’d link to another blog, but I’m so happy that we’re seeing signs of remission.

Favorite photo from last week:

I made a bunch of these ornaments last year.

I made a bunch of these ornaments last year.

Lesson learned the past few days:
Super Target only has one kind of popcorn kernels. One brand. One size. Had to go to Kroger for the cheap stuff.

On my Prayer List:
For David to start a new job January 4. His contract ends December 31.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
