OMG! You guys sound like you are hving quite a rough time. A GPS is one of the first things I bought after we moved to Maryland. I love it and still use it a lot.

That stinks that your apartment is no good and not in a nice neighborhood. One of my childhood friend's moved to DC this past fall and had a similar experience. Needless to say they broke their lease after a few months and boght something in a much nicer area.

We were able to take a weekend trip out here to house hunt and most everything was not nearly as nice as it looked online and places were not in that nice of areas. Our rent isn't cheap but we had a great 100 year old house, right next to my kids school in a nice nieghborhood. I spent so much time researching schools which I think helped me pinpoint where we could live and where not.

I hope it gets better for you guys!

One thing NJ has is doctors :-) Try Meetup.com for dog groups if you want to meet some new people --- there are groups for nearly every breed/size/interest (agility groups, therapy dog groups... you name it, someone has an amazingly organized social group devoted to it!)

Thanks for stopping by Life: Forward - I hope you come back again - I loved your tip!
