A Young Wife’s Tale

I got a job! I’m really excited. I wasn’t actively seeking employment. In fact, I had told David that if I went back to work, someone would just have to call me and say, “Hey, I know this person that needs part time administrative help.” Well, guess what? That’s exactly what happened.

You’ve gifted me with your knack for making friends wherever you go. Your ability to strike up conversations with complete strangers wherever you are. It’s a delightful gift to have. Except, see, here’s the problem. I’m not the one striking up conversations.

“You need to get out there and wakeboard!” I told David.

“No, I don’t think I should. My back hurts. I’ll just make it worse,” he replied.

“You’ve got a brand new wakeboard! You have to!”

This cracks me up. I got an email from my mother this evening about one of the banners David created.
