I jumped on the Twitter bandwagon. Follow me at http://twitter.com/YoungWifesTale.
I read about this great idea for the Three Minute Thank You on Homemaker Barbi’s website. It’s just taking three minutes to be thankful. You can write a thank you note to God or type it or just pray it. I just thought it was a good idea to take time to count your blessings.

What is up with people being so quick to criticize? So quick to make negative remarks and cut people down?
David and I have a theory. It’s technology’s fault. People are snarky online (which is still wrong, by the way) because you forget that there is an actual person somewhere out there that you’re talking to. This behavior is spilling over into reality. If I read a blog online and I completely disagree with whatever they believe, I am NOT going to start an argument. I may not read their blog, but why would I start trouble? Remember, if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

I went to a lovely ladies retreat Friday night and Saturday with some ladies from our church. It was a wonderful time of food and fellowship. It was really nice to spend time with other people and not have to think, “Oh, we should probably leave soon. David’s back is probably hurting.” David enjoyed hours of un-interrupted video games. Friday night after I left he took Henry for a walk (Yippee!) and then played video games until four in the morning. He didn’t even eat dinner. Here’s a direct quote from David: “I haven’t done that since…how long have I known you?”
