Book Review: Isaac Newton by Mitch Stokes

I read mostly fiction, and math was my absolute worst subject in school, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this book. It was interesting to read about how integral Sir Newton’s faith was to his life and work. My husband and I had a good discussion on consubstantiation after reading about Newton’s difficulty with the doctrine of the Trinity.

In Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts God, Ms. Walsh is very open about her struggle with depression. She talks about struggling to trust God in her career and with her ministry. She also talks about how different Bible characters, such as Abraham and David, struggled to trust God. In writing about the different Bible characters, Ms. Walsh shows readers how God asks us to trust him, even when things don’t make sense to us.
