Just in time for Cyber Monday…I’ve opened my Etsy shop! I have had so much fun knitting this year. After I knit something for everyone I possibly could on my Christmas list, I wanted to keep on knitting, so I decided maybe I could sell some of my creations. Check out my Etsy store here! [...]

Our Shop Rite ran a special where if you spent $300 there during a certain time period, you got a free turkey. I got the biggest free turkey I could find. That’s right, I’m making a 20.49 pound turkey for two. We will have lots of leftovers, and I’m planning on turkey pot pies and lots of good stock.
Typically, David and I watch all of the extended versions of the Lord of the Rings movies around Thanksgiving. This year, we decided to switch things up and have a Star Wars movie marathon. ‘Cause we’re crazy cool like that.

*David can still recite the periodic table of elements. He memorized it in high school. And he can still recite the whole, “Friends, Romans, countrymen: lend me your ears,” speech. Maybe memorization is his super power.
*I’m almost done Christmas shopping! Christmas can’t come fast enough for me this year because we’re going home to Texas. I keep having nightmares that I’m in Dallas, but all the presents are still in New Jersey, or I step off the plane with one change of clothes to get me through two weeks or the most recent, I realized I only had two days left in Texas and I hadn’t even seen Maegan, yet!

After David’s training class ended in Virginia, we met up with David’s father, who was also traveling for business, in Maryland. The Mariott Residence Inn was fabulous. It was the nicest extended stay hotel I’ve ever seen. I’d like to live there, but it would be a horrible commute for David.

Isn’t the look on Henry’s face hilarious?
