A Young Wife’s Tale

So, since we’ve moved to New Jersey, I’ve been on the phone a lot. I’ve called doctors in Texas. Pharmacies. Our rental property manager. I’ve called trying to find new doctors. Oh, yeah, and I’ve been calling family and friends.

Typically at the end of the month we roll over the maximum amount of roll over minutes allowed. Apparently I blew through all of those. Our cell phone bill was almost triple what it normally is.

Today is my SITS Day! “The Secret is in the Sauce” is a wonderful group of women bloggers who support each other through comments. I have come in contact with so many great bloggers through SITS and received encouragement, support and advice. I highly recommend you check them out.

I said if a woman breaks it off with a man, she should give the ring back. If he breaks up with her, then she can keep it. David said, “Yeah, but you should also give back any expensive gifts when you break up.”

“Like the digital camera I bought you the Christmas we were engaged?”

“Oh, no. That cost less than $500.”

God has provided us with renters for our house in Dallas! We’re so thankful! We are going back to Dallas in July for a vacation, and I can’t wait!

I’m worried that David isn’t taking care of himself. He’s working long hours trying get his department caught up. He’s not taking lunch breaks. He just eats lunch at his desk. I’m fairly certain he’s not getting up to stretch or walk around like he did at his old job. I know he feels a lot of pressure since the job is six months contract to hire, but they love him. He’s already helped out so much. And what good will it be to have a job in six months if he’s too sick to work?

I got a new haircut. It’s actually similar to the way my hair looked a few years ago.

This is the picture I took to show the stylist. I showed it to David before we went, and he wanted to know if I was going to dye my hair the same color as Carrie’s. Sorry, honey. I like my natural color, and we couldn’t afford for me to go that blonde!
