Things That Caught My Attention

We had to leave church right after Sunday School (again) because David’s neck was hurting so much. I guess he’s not in remission yet. Here are some things that caught my attention.

* I hate the borax/washing soda dishwashing detergent that I’ve been using. First it was just a white residue on some glasses. Now it’s on everything. And yes, I was using vinegar as a rinse aid. Let me put it this way. My husband bought me dishwashing detergent at the store. When he notices, things have to be pretty bad! The store bought stuff is fairly inexpensive, and phosphate free, so I may just continue to use that.
*How to safely cut up credit cards.
*Type A Mommy Blog. She’s a kindred spirit.
*This recipe for Klingon Chicken. Being a huge sci-fi nerd, I am going to make it. It’s not authentic Klingon food, but it still looks good.
*The Blindside – This movie with Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw looks great!
*Floss picks. My mother gave me a package of these awhile back. So much easier than reglar flossing for people with TMJ Disorder.
*My friend Michelle’s recipe for Black Bean & Chicken Enchiladas. Delicioso! I used leftover turkey instead of chicken. These would be great for the day after Thanksgiving.
*I saw a Christmas decoration in Hobby Lobby that really disturbed me. If you believe in the trinity, it should disturb you as well. It said, God said, “Let there be light.” And then there was Jesus. What’s so sad is that I’m always delighted to see Christmas decorations explicitly speaking of the true meaning of Christmas. This was just a little too mixed up in its theology.
*I received an email from Banfield Pet Hospital saying that there has been a confirmed case of H1N1 in cats. Still no confirmed cases in dogs, though.
