Our Trip Home to Dallas
14 Aug
Our trip our home to Dallas was wonderful. We were there for a week, but it didn’t feel long enough. I miss being hugged so often. I miss the Southern charm and politeness.
One night Maegan made amazing enchiladas and these adorable cake pops. The next day we went to the mall because I wanted a good pair of classic black pumps. We found a pair of Calvin Kleins on clearance in the very first store we entered. I don’t think that’s ever happened to me before.
You may recall that Maegan and I had never taken a picture together before, and I told her that if she died I was going to lie down next to her body at the morgue, snap a picture, and tell everyone she blinked. That will no longer be necessary.
I’m mad because the only picture I got of my side of our family was this one Brother #2 took of himself on my phone and set to be my background.
He said it was a surprise for me. No pictures with my mother and father or Brother #1 or Brother #3.
My mother and I did some crafting. I left most of my craft supplies in Dallas with her when we moved, so I had to get to work on some things for Christmas.
My father and I shared a pizza one night while David was with friends. I try not to eat things with gluten that tempt David right in front of him. Toast he can resist, but pizza is a lot harder.
Here’s David and I at his best friend’s rehearsal dinner. I wish I had a video of the toast he gave at the wedding reception. It was funny and sweet, and I hardly remember any of it.
Henry spent the week playing in my parents’ back yard with my brothers’ two labs. He was still worn out when we got back home.

You are so cute! Don’t you always wish you took more pictures when you visit family? I do!
Glad the trip was fun and safe! you are adorable! Your brother is nuts, and you two are stunning together! So happy to hear you were able to craft with mom and eat pizza with dad, special memories!
Have a blessed monday!
Krista
