Happy Homemaker Monday
23 Nov
The weather in my neck of the woods:
70 degrees and sunny. Perfect. And really pleasant for David’s arthritic joints!
One of my simple pleasures:
Stovetop popcorn and Diet Coke
On my bedside table:
A magazine that I got for free and my laptop.
On my TV:
It’s not on right now.
On the menu for tonight:
Chicken spaghetti
On my To Do List:
Load of laundry
Pack for San Antonio!
Make carmel popcorn
Pickup prescriptions (That’s always on my to-do list!)
New Recipe I tried last week:
Klingon Chicken
In the craft basket:
Knitting (I’m still trying to teach myself.)
Tiles to make coasters for Christmas presents. (You have to check out Tip Junkie!)
Looking forward to:
Thanksgiving – Our trip to San Antonio
David’s arthritis being in remission
Homemaking Tip for this week:
Use apple cider vinegar to get rid of fruit flies.
Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
The Truth
Frugal Holiday Traditions
Favorite photo from last week:
Lesson learned the past few days:
My husband is more like my father than I realized. This week I learned that David is every bit the workaholic my father is. He feels the need to work even if he doesn’t have to for the money.
On my Prayer List:
Darla
Several missionary friends that I can’t mention because their safety could be compromised.
My church
And of course David’s arthritis
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
Matthew 6:27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Welcome to HHM, so glad you’re joining in.
I chuckled at your Diet Coke mention because I drink WAY too much of it, love it and can’t live without it LOL
I just have to tell you thanks for stopping by my blog! Also, my heart went out to you when you said your hubby had Psoriasis arthritis. My hubby has severe psoriasis. He had the arthritis but methotrexate (sp?) finally took it away. He was doing embrel, but now is getting infusions of remicade. It is about $9,000 every two months. PTL, for insurance. It is the first thing that he has ever taken that has made it go away. We are talking full body psoriasis. Very sad and painful. Nict to me you!
Stopping by from SITs ~ your comment was just above mine today and I just wanted to say that I’m on the same page as you about Black Friday. I’m definitely going to avoid the crowds and chaos and opt for making handmade gifts and supporting local small businesses and other crafters.
What a great get-to-know-you post! Sounds like you’re having a lovely Indian Summer. I’m glad the warm weather eases your husbands pain. I hope the sunny skies continue, and that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
You’re teaching yourself to knit! Yay! I taught myself about 12 years ago – love, love, love it! If I could figure out a way to knit and blog at the same time, I would be one happy chickadee!
Stopping by from Diary of Stay at home mom’s happy homemaker monday blog post. I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving with your family!
